History behind Zeegrass begins with
Darwin's Law- 1994

Before Zhenya's 7 years of touring and 9 albums with Red Elvises, back in 1994/95, Zhenya & Dave Peters recorded a 15 track album called Darwin's Law. This album has some classical and original material - "new grass," "scorching hot" all acoustic songs -Dave's idea "to take over" Dallas acoustic scene...

 Dave was a three-time winner of the Walnut Valley Mandolin Championship, who passed away unexpectedly in December, 1999.
